We are actively recruiting for aLegal Secretaryto join ourSerious Injury team in Birmingham . Working alongside our fee earners, we seek candidates who can provide comprehensive administrative support, including managing files from opening to archiving, handling post, responding to client and external enquiries, and lodging documents with courts. Completion of court forms may also be required. Additionally, ensuring new client enquiries are created through our Practice Management System is essential. The role involves preparing precedent and non-precedent letters, attending to simple and complex correspondence, attending meetings, and drafting internal memoranda. Providing support, guidance, and delegation to colleagues, along with conducting legal research, are key responsibilities. Other duties include assisting with billing, maintaining financial records, preparing bills, chasing outstanding costs and disbursements, paying in cheques, and managing fee earners' time recording, billing, and debtor management. Ideally, candidates will have previous experience as a Legal Secretary, demonstrate strong typing skills (including speech recognition), and be adept at managing multiple diaries. This role offersremote working , with occasional travel to our Birmingham or Manchester offices as needed (travel to Manchester is on an as-and-when basis).
