You will be part of a team, tasked with developing, shaping and evaluating the service to meet the unique needs and aspirations of clients, including those who are actively using substances, have a dual diagnosis or mental health conditions or have experienced multiple exclusions from services. We work closely with the local authority with the aim of ending the need to sleep rough or use insecure or temporary accommodation. We offer a personalised approach to work with people to manage risk and reduce associated harm from substance use and multiple exclusion. What You Bring to the RoleWe are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Project Worker to join our accommodation support team. In this role, you will provide one-on-one support, advice, and interventions to help our residents achieve their goals, secure sustainable housing, and build skills for independent living. You’ll contribute to a welcoming, safe environment and manage a varied caseload of residents who may be dealing with complex challenges such as homelessness, trauma, and mental health issues. You have a compassionate, person-centred approach, with a genuine commitment to supporting individuals facing housing insecurity. Experienced in working with vulnerable populations, including those affected by homelessness, trauma, substance use, or mental health challenges. Strong communicator, able to engage effectively with clients, colleagues, and external partners to advocate for and support residents’ needs. Proficient in creating and managing personalized support plans, and skilled in documentation and record-keeping. Knowledgeable in trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches, with a commitment to promoting change and independence. Resilient and adaptable, capable of maintaining calm in challenging situations and de-escalating conflicts with empathy.
