Job Title: Yard Operative We are seeking a hardworking Yard Operative to join our team at our site in Darley Dale, Derbyshire. Ecobat Resources is a global leader in responsible recycling and resource production, specializing in lead and lead alloys for energy storage and industrial applications, as well as polypropylene recycling.At Ecobat, we utilize advanced technology and a skilled workforce to ensure environmentally safe recycling of lead acid batteries, safeguarding the environment, employees, and communities.Position Details This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday.ResponsibilitiesRecord all material receipts and dispatches accurately, in accordance with relevant contracts.Allocate material receipts and transfers to correct storage areas as instructed by supervisors, ensuring quality standards are met.Inspect and sample incoming materials safely and efficiently, following policies and procedures.Maintain stock levels in process storage bays to support optimal plant operation.Unload/load vehicles delivering or collecting materials, ensuring safety for all personnel and visitors.Report equipment or vehicle breakdowns promptly to supervisors.Check and address deficiencies in vehicles and equipment before use, and inform maintenance of any issues.Skills and QualificationsAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Reliability and a strong work ethic.Knowledge of yard and warehouse processes.Full, clean driving license.Proficiency in IT skills.CBAL FLT licence with a minimum of 5 years' experience.Preferred: Overhead Crane license (training provided if not possessed).Our employees are our most valuable asset.
