This new position involves shaping and delivering a curriculum focused on bench and site joinery within our construction department. This role is vital in aligning education with the growing construction industry demand in North Yorkshire. We seek a dynamic individual with deep joinery expertise who can inspire students and faculty to achieve excellence. What You Will DoCurriculum Development & Innovation:Lead the design and implementation of new modules and courses aligned with industry needs. High-Quality Delivery & Student Outcomes:Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure high-quality instruction and student skill acquisition. Industry & Policy Alignment:Prepare students for evolving labor market expectations in joinery sectors. Team Leadership & Development:Lead and support professional development for staff. Assessment & Monitoring:Develop assessment strategies to facilitate student progress. Student Engagement & Support:Motivate and inspire students, fostering creativity and sustainability awareness. Quality Assurance & Improvement:Conduct self-assessments and contribute to quality enhancement. Promotion & Outreach:Attract new talent and showcase career opportunities in joinery. About YouWe are looking for acreative, dynamic, and forward-thinking practitionerpassionate about woodwork and joinery. The ideal candidate will have: Industry Experience:Strong background in teaching and joinery trade, with a preference for eco-friendly practices and innovation. Teaching Experience:Preferred but not essential. Student-Focused Approach. Teamwork & Collaboration:Adaptable and resilient, thriving in team environments. Excellent Communication Skills. Self-motivation & Independence. Commitment to Professional Development:Teaching qualification is not essential, but candidates should be committed to obtaining one.
