Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHSFTAn exciting opportunity has arisen within Neurological Rehabilitation services to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our friendly, dynamic, and forward-thinking team that serves patients from Rotherham, Doncaster, and Bassetlaw. The successful candidate will be part of our welcoming Multidisciplinary Team, which includes Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Nurses, and Rehab Assistants. You will provide Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions across the neuroservices pathway for patients with neurological conditions such as brain injury, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS), spinal cord injury, among others. There are opportunities to work across wider neurological services within the trust to enhance clinical experience and support colleagues. The role offers creative freedom and the chance to collaborate with wider trust services like Flourish. Facilities available for patient rehabilitation include a wood workshop, splinting facilities, community settings, and access to hospital grounds and the walled garden. This Band 5 post is a fixed-term (1 year) opportunity to cover maternity leave. Main duties of the jobConduct assessments to identify problems and develop treatment plans. Provide therapeutic interventions within the Neurorehabilitation setting. Develop and delegate rehabilitation programs to Rehabilitation Assistants based on their competence. Collaborate with the Occupational Therapy Lead to monitor and improve service performance. Participate in team meetings, communicate progress, and discuss discharge planning with patients and families.
