Work peripatetically within local hostels, supported living, community venues, and partner organisations such as local pharmacies or Warrington Hospital Carry out home visiting or ‘attrition work’ for service users who have failed to attend scheduled appointments or were risk indicators cause concern for their welfare Support and deliver group work in peripatetic venues such as hostel accommodation or community venues. Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community Promoting carer, service user and community involvement.About youHave a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics, such as conflict or challenging behaviour. Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills Experience of working in an outreach capacity Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills Experience of completing referrals and assessments Able to work remotely and continue to find creative ways to engage and communicate with service users Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguardsWhat we will give to you25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays.
