We have two fantastic opportunities for talented individuals to join our team in Lenziemill, Cumbernauld as Warehouse Operations Managers—one covering day shifts and one covering nights. In these roles, you will lead teams of warehouse shift managers, section leaders, and operatives, and be accountable for delivering operational objectives across all shifts and changes. You’ll play a key role in supporting the network, helping Gist excel in service while minimising cost risks. As Warehouse Operations Manager, you’ll oversee the warehouse functions of the distribution centre, ensuring customer requirements are met efficiently and cost-effectively. What’s in it for you? Ensure effective communication within the warehouse teams through meetings, briefings, shift managers, DLCs. Drive positive change and engaging culture, bringing to life the Gist values. Be responsible for operational excellence, including cost and service delivery, and peak planning/delivery. Manage overall productivity within the operation, ensuring activities are cost-effective and resources are managed efficiently. Plan and coordinate detailed operational activities through shift managers to ensure the required level of service is provided to the customer. Manage customer service, including escalation procedures. Deliver operational KPIs, maintaining and improving performance levels to maximize efficiency. Be accountable for delivering the warehouse budget. Own continuous improvement initiatives and controllable costs. Who You Are Thorough knowledge and hands-on experience of a warehouse function within the FMCG Distribution Industry. Experience operating at a managerial level is essential. Passionate about encouraging teamwork and fostering an innovative culture where employees can voice suggestions and ideas. Excellent team management and customer relationship skills.
