Your new School Hays are recruiting a Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant in Cardiff for a Special Educational Needs School which caters for pupils aged 4-11 with a variety of additional learning needs. This role will involve working with small groups of children with a variety of additional needs, as well as some related behavioural issues. The school is made up of a supportive and passionate teaching team, where the staff are eager to welcome new members to the team. Additionally, there are similar positions within this school and a sister school with immediate start dates. Duties relating to this role include but are not limited to:Working with small groups of students who possess additional learning needs and some elements of challenging behaviour. Demonstrating high levels of patience and empathy when dealing with potentially challenging behaviour. Creating a safe and enjoyable learning environment.
