Our core values are: open, caring, agile, and collaborative.Location: Harborne, covering the West Midlands areaSalary: Competitive + Company Car/Car Allowance + BenefitsEmployment Type: Full-time, PermanentRole Overview We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee operational delivery within the RFCA contract, ensuring high-quality maintenance and compliance with SLAs and KPIs for reactive, planned, and grounds maintenance. You will align service delivery with contract requirements and VIVO’s strategic goals, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.ResponsibilitiesMaintain statutory compliance across RFCA assets, manage risks, and build a team capable of successfully delivering capital projects.Implement a robust Health & Safety strategy focused on achieving Zero Harm.Manage performance against contractual obligations, including reporting and driving continuous improvement.Manage budgets, track contract performance, and develop operational solutions to maximize customer value and business growth.Build and maintain collaborative relationships with RFCA, DIO, and external partners.Manage commercial contracts with suppliers.Foster a strong leadership culture, ensuring adherence to policies and promoting a positive, diverse working environment.Qualifications & Skills The ideal candidate will have:A strong background in operational management.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to drive change in complex environments.Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.Experience managing sub-contractors.Availability to be on-site 3-4 days per week.UK nationality with the ability to obtain unrestricted SC Clearance.What We Offer6% employee matched pension contribution25 days annual leaveCompany car or allowancePrivate medical cover for self and partnerAdditional Information The role is with VIVO Defence Services, a joint venture between Serco and EQUANS.
