Opening and closing the store, managing duty cover, and ensuring safety and decision-making are appropriate. Serving as the go-to person for colleagues in the absence of the Store Manager. Supporting the Store Manager in organizing seasonal, community, and charity events. Maintaining store cleanliness, tidiness, and presentation standards. Prioritizing product replenishment based on customer needs. Ensuring point of sale and shelf labels are accurate and reflect best practices. Addressing overcharges immediately and preventing recurrence. Managing queues proactively to enhance the shopping experience. Coordinating colleagues' tasks, breaks, and daily priorities. Identifying and implementing store improvements. Adhering to health and safety routines and promoting them among colleagues. Communicating effectively with the team and ensuring they are well-informed. Seeking opportunities to simplify operations and sharing ideas with the Store Manager. Putting the customer first and resolving queries with a positive attitude. Adjusting service to meet individual customer needs. Recognizing colleagues who deliver excellent service. Removing obstacles to service delivery and escalating issues when necessary. Managing staffing levels, covering absences, and acting as a Keyholder for store security. Monitoring and acting on internal communications and feedback. Balancing service and replenishment duties effectively. Supporting the Store Manager in managing colleague absence and conducting return-to-work interviews. Building relationships with Area Managers and People Partners, escalating issues, and seeking coaching opportunities.
