Salary:The starting salary is £33,180 for Monday to Friday daytime drivers and £39,953 for rostered drivers working shifts that include late finishes and weekends. About UsDial-a-Ride is vital for many vulnerable Londoners, assisting disabled and elderly passengers unable to use standard public transport. Since 1980, it has served nearly 40,000 members, making around 0.6 million journeys annually. Typical destinations include supermarkets, bingo halls, clubs, and visiting friends and family. As a Dial-a-Ride Driver Attendant, you will transport passengers safely and courteously, assist those with mobility challenges, secure mobility aids, and help with personal effects. The service is multi-occupancy, requiring appropriate passenger positioning and vehicle configuration to meet diverse needs. We seek enthusiastic, flexible, and motivated individuals. Shortlisting will be based on answers to pre-screening questions and your application documents. Eligibility: Hold a full, clean D1 driving licence (or no more than 3 points), be over 21, with at least 2 years driving experience (desirable), or be willing to undergo D1 training. Be energetic and able to work independently and within a team. All successful applicants will undergo an Enhanced DBS check, medical examination, fitness assessment, drug & alcohol testing, and reference checks. Shift PatternsPeak Hours:Five shifts per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00-18:00, with slight variation possible. All Hours:Usually five shifts per week, sometimes four, with guaranteed 36 hours. Shifts are scheduled between 06:00-00:00, mostly 07:00-18:00. Locations include Woodford, Palmers Green, North Wembley, Wimbledon, and Elephant & Castle depots. Flexibility for location is required, and candidates may be placed on a waitlist based on location preferences.
