This role is ideal for professionals with expertise in C, C++, and/or Ada, who have experience working in real-time environments and model-based development.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and support embedded software using C, C++, and/or Ada. Work with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) to deploy software solutions. Utilise model-based development techniques, employing UML tools such as Rhapsody or Matlab/Simulink. Perform analytical design, critical analysis, and software reviews. Implement software on ARM-based processing platforms. Collaborate with firmware and electronics teams, with a desirable understanding of firmware and electronic design. Apply modern software development best practices, ensuring high-quality and maintainable code. Ensure compliance with industry standards such as DefStan 00-55, DO-178B/C, and restricted coding standards including MISRA and SPARK.EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:Strong proficiency in embedded software development using C, C++, and/or Ada. Experience in real-time software design and implementation. Understanding of software deployment on Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and ARM-based platforms. Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct design reviews and critical evaluations. Experience with model-based development methodologies and tools.Desirable Skills:Familiarity with firmware and electronic design principles. Knowledge of software safety standards and restricted coding standards.
