Applicants are invited to apply for the role of Simulation Fellow in Frimley Emergency Department. The role is 75% clinical and 25% non-clinical. We are looking for doctors to start in August 2025.This is an excellent opportunity for doctors to maintain clinical work while also dedicating time to areas of personal interest. We see this as a sustainable working model that also enhances CVs and experience.Study leave: 18 days (10 days general study leave, 5 days private study leave, 3 days for exams or interviews). Study budget: £650 per year.The emergency medicine rota includes evening, night, weekend, and bank holiday shifts. LTFT enquiries are welcome.Applicants must have at least 24 months of NHS experience. This advert is open to ST1/2 and ST3+ applicants.Main duties of the jobAttend the Trust simulation faculty training.Organize and run simulation teaching for ED staff and medical students.Assist with Wing Factors simulation training, involving pilots in debriefs led by ED consultants.Run simulations both in the sim suite and in-situ.Learn technical skills involved in running simulations.Deliver simulation sessions for clinicians returning to work, NHS newcomers, and exam candidates.Support each other's training days and share ideas with fellow simulation fellows.Promote multidisciplinary learning.Work with your supervisor to ensure work benefits the department and supports your learning goals.Supervise medical students on placement in ED.Collaborate with other ED fellows to expand experience and support projects.Working for our organization Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is committed to being an inclusive and disability-confident employer, awarded Gold for the Armed Forces Employment Recognition Scheme.
