Worcester City NMHT are seeking to recruit a community Mental Health Practioner to deliver outstanding care to the community. If you are passionate about delivering evidenced based interventions in the community, a career with us may be just what youre looking for.We have a full-time developmental band 5-6 Mental Health Practioner opportunity, which is an exciting position for a Community Mental Health nurse, however we would also welcome and consider part time applicants. This development role in underpinned by a supportive competency-based framework to help build both your experience and competence in becoming a band 6 practitioner. We welcome newly qualified band 5 MHP, or a nurse with inpatient experience who would like to develop their expertise in a community mental health setting.If you are passionate, self-motivated, and looking to be part of an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of Neighbourhood Mental Health Service Team in Worcester then we would welcome your application and look forward to hearing from youMain duties of the jobWill work as a key member and resource of the MDT core team.This post will offer a challenging and exciting opportunity to gain experience of working across South Community Mental Health Service, developing relationships with Primary Care, partner agencies and wider mental health services.You will have the opportunity to design and deliver evidence-based recovery focused mental health interventions and groups. Knowledge of delivery psychoeducation within a group environment and 1:1 would be an advantage.You will have experience of working with this user group in community settings. You will have a registered qualification in mental health nursing, occupational therapy or social work.You will hold a blended caseload of common mental health disorders and severe mental illness patients.The ability to work flexibly as the need of the service demands is essential.Attend weekly MDT meetings, participate in professionals meetings, signpost to adjunct services depending on patient need.Support and guidance to the carers of patients accessing the servicesAbout UsAt Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, we are working together to deliver outstanding care.
