Senior Mental Health Practitioner (Early Days in Custody)About The Role UNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFE + MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO EVERY LIFE We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our Mental Health team at HMP Lewes, a category B men's prison. The role offers free parking and a very welcoming team. Working in a friendly and supportive team of 6, with lots of training and development opportunities depending on your interests, and free parking on site. Hours 36 hours a week, working three days a week, 13-hour shifts from 9am to 10pm, with a 1-hour break. No weekends or night shifts. Salary This full-time position offers an annual salary up to GBP 52,507 per annum FTE, depending on experience. How will we support you? What you'll be doing Assessing and managing patients' mental health needs Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner, managing a caseload, and developing holistic care plans Contributing to our nursing strategy to provide outstanding, evidence-based, personalized care Delivering non-judgmental care, building therapeutic relationships, and maintaining professional boundaries Participating in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, always considering safeguarding policies If you're interested in career development, we offer various internal and external training and development opportunities. Qualifications Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, or Nurse - HCPC / NMC Registered Experience working within mental health settings, with knowledge of this patient group High-standard patient assessment and risk assessment skills Evidence of Continued Professional Development Experience working collaboratively with other agencies and stakeholders in a multidisciplinary environment Although not essential, experience in hospital, community, or prison environments is desirable.#J-18808-Ljbffr
