Director of Child and Youth Discipleship4 days ago | Be among the first 25 applicants Return to Listing Position OverviewThe Director of Child and Youth Discipleship is responsible for leading the faith formation programs for children (grades K–5) and youth (grades 6–12) at St. Dominic in Sheboygan. This role involves developing and implementing discipleship initiatives, fostering a culture of evangelization, recruiting and training volunteers, coordinating programs, and building relationships with families and the parish community. Key ResponsibilitiesMinistry Vision and LeadershipLead the vision, development, and execution of discipleship efforts for children and youth, ensuring alignment with parish goals. Evangelization & DiscipleshipPromote a culture of missionary discipleship, encouraging encounters with Jesus through retreats, service, prayer, and sacramental prep. Volunteer DevelopmentRecruit, train, and support adult catechists and youth volunteers, fostering a sense of mission and community. Program CoordinationManage logistics for faith formation programs, ensuring the curriculum is engaging and the resources are appropriate. Communication & Relationship BuildingMaintain strong relationships with children, teens, and families; communicate via emails, social media, and personal outreach. QualificationsPracticing Catholic in good standing with a love for Christ and His Church. Passionate about evangelization and discipleship for children and youth. Experience working with children, teens, parents, and volunteers. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Background in catechesis, youth ministry, or related fields preferred. Degree in theology, catechetics, pastoral ministry, or equivalent experience preferred. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
