Managing Quantity Surveyor - Heavy Civils (Pump Station Project) Location: Benacre, East Suffolk Region: East AngliaSalary - up to 90,000 plus bonus, car allowance and an excellent package About the RoleOur client is delivering a significant infrastructure project in Benacre-a large pump station requiring deep expertise in heavy civils and NEC contract administration. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a high-impact scheme from the early stages, contributing to its commercial success while leading a dedicated commercial team on-site.As Managing Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key leadership role within the Regional Civils division. You'll be responsible for managing a small team of Quantity Surveyors and overseeing the full commercial lifecycle of the project-from procurement through to final account-ensuring value for money and commercial excellence at every stage.What You'll Be DoingLeading the commercial team and working closely with subcontractors to ensure effective contract management under NEC conditionsDriving the commercial performance of the project, identifying opportunities to increase profitability and minimise riskDeveloping strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and supply chain partnersManaging cost reporting, change management, and contractual complianceOverseeing procurement processes and ensuring subcontractor payments are accurate and timelyMentoring junior team members and building capability across the commercial functionSupporting business goals while ensuring safety, quality, and programme targets are metWhat We're Looking ForSubstantial experience in quantity surveying within heavy civils or infrastructure projectsStrong knowledge of NEC contracts and experience administering them on complex projectsProven leadership capabilities and the ability to build high-performing commercial teamsCommercially astute, with strong skills in risk management, cost control, and contract negotiationA degree in a relevant field or equivalent experienceProfessional membership (RICS, CIOB, ICE or similar) desirableValid CSCS card requiredWhy Join Our Client You'll be part of an organisation that values professional growth, innovation, and collaboration.
