We’re looking for a Senior Advisor to join our Producer Responsibility team to help deliver the Government’s Resources and Waste Strategy. You’ll work with Environment Agency colleagues, Defra, UK devolved administrations, and industry to deliver significant legislative changes. You can make a difference. You’ll need to be adaptable, self-motivated, and capable of translating policy into action. Your responsibilities will include: Working closely with stakeholders across government, industry, and the Environment Agency to influence and implement legislation for workstreams including Packaging and Deposit Return Scheme, with support to other workstreams as needed. Providing technical advice within the Environment Agency and to industry. Driving reforms to waste management to change how waste is managed in England, working with like-minded individuals towards common goals. This may involve shaping digital systems for waste management or policy development. We are a dispersed team, working with various technical and project teams nationwide. We use smart tools to stay connected and reduce travel; however, some travel and overnight stays may be required. The team: You will join our Producer Responsibility Team, leading on reforming Waste Regulations to ensure the government's ambitions to conserve resources by minimizing waste are achieved. Experience and Skills Required Please demonstrate in your answers: Ability to work effectively with diverse backgrounds and cultures, actively encouraging consideration of diversity issues.
