Job overviewSafety Insights Engagement Lead An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Health Services Safety Investigations Body (HSSIB) as our Safety Insights Engagement Lead.We are an independent arm's length body of the Department of Health and Social Care and we carry out independent safety investigations to make a real difference to patient safety. We investigate patient safety concerns across the NHS in England and in independent healthcare settings where safety learning could also help to improve NHS care. Each year HSIB publishes approximately 30 new reports, following investigations into an incident or issue, and issue safety recommendations to a wide range of bodies and organisations. The Health and Care Act 2022 established HSSIB as the Health Services Safety Investigations Body (HSSIB), a fully independent arm’s-length body from October 2023. The Safety Insights Engagement Lead will work in the Investigation and Insights team, reporting to the Head of Patient Safety Insights. The postholder will effectively operate the ‘front door’ to our organisation, responsible for the external facing platforms for receiving safety concerns from patients, families, members of the public and healthcare staff.
