The Operational and Technical Manager UKI is a critical senior leadership position within our successful and growing Cargo Operation. This role is pivotal in the UKI cargo business, delivering operational excellence across its portfolio. Reporting directly to the Cargo Operations Director, this role will support the Regional Ops Directors and Station Managers to deliver a best-in-class operational performance in line with strategic objectives through the development and deployment of Swissport Cargo’s initiatives. Location can be flexible, with a requirement to travel. Competitive Salary plus car and bonus. ResponsibilitiesMain Responsibilities The role will measure and monitor the Station Managers' delivery against relevant KPIs. Evaluate operational performance to ensure increased profitability, productivity, and market share. Ensure successful performance against health and safety targets. Support the broader Cargo Senior Leadership team in mentoring the Cargo Station Managers as they transition to Business Leaders. About You:You will possess strong senior operational skills and commercial acumen, benchmarked against Swissport Senior Leadership Competencies such as Driving Transformation, Applying Commercial Acumen, Owning Business Opportunities, Coaching and Developing Others, and Executing Sustainable Results. Safety LeaderLead and improve health 'safety measures and KPIs related to people, equipment, facilities, and aircraft. Ensure alignment with Swissport’s global health 'safety values and strategies. Promote a “just culture” within the region. Focus on continuous improvement and sharing best practices in health 'safety and on-time performance. P&L ManagementUnderstand P&L targets and support Station Managers in delivering financial EBIT targets. Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Assist in preparing operating budgets and proposals for investments. Quality Focus, Service Delivery, and Operational EfficiencyMentor those responsible for operational performance and service quality. Manage quality improvement initiatives and ensure innovation and continuous improvement. Monitor and improve operational workflows and services. Promote a culture of efficiency and maximum productivity. LeadershipDevelop and coach the cargo Station Manager team. Enhance team performance and well-being through leadership, communication, and development initiatives. Recognize and reward team successes. Business GrowthSupport customer relationship development and ensure new business aligns with P&L objectives. StrategicChallenge the status quo to support improved business performance and growth. Collaborate with senior leadership to define strategic and operational objectives. QualificationsSuccessful candidates will have a proven track record in B2B services, demonstrating success in growing top-line revenue while maintaining profitability across multiple sites.
