This team is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Adults finance system - Controcc.The role involves leading projects to meet business needs, providing support to end users, and working closely with senior colleagues to agree on projects, timescales, and deliverables. This position is strategic, aiming to enable Cumberland and Westmorland & Furness Councils to deliver high-quality services, ensure statutory compliance, and support effective service delivery through ongoing analysis.Currently, Cumberland Council delivers a hosted ICT Service for Cumberland Council, Westmorland and Furness Council, and Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service. These services will be disaggregated in the future, with employees TUPE transferred to one of the two Councils.This is a full-time, permanent role, primarily based from home.Key ResponsibilitiesBe a key point of contact for the Adult finance service areas.Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Source solutions that bring positive outcomes for both councils.Contribute to system service planning by understanding specific business needs.Evaluate new system products, upgrades, and enhancements.Who We’re Looking For We seek someone with extensive knowledge and experience of using the Controcc system. Good communication skills and relationship-building abilities are essential to help both councils meet residents' needs. You and your team will support the business with technology, deliver training, and ensure consistency, so adaptable communication skills are key.An understanding of relevant local authority legislation, including GDPR and Information Security, is required.
