Job title: Senior Project Accountant Location: Portsmouth We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role Salary: 50,000-60,000 (dependent on skills and experience) What youll be doing: Provision of experienced financial support to Project Accounting by building and maintaining effective relationships and ensuring robust financial challenge and control Provision of accurate financial information and advice to a project or group of projects on a timely basis to enable effective decision-making Provision of financial support and advice to customers and stakeholders Supervise, maintain and operate financial systems and processes in a constantly changing environment Resolve problems to ensure development/production timescales are met across projects Provide helpline to internal and external customers Provide cover for day-to-day aspects of managers role Facilitate decision-making using knowledge and experience Effective liaison with other functions involved in the projects Continual improvement of procedures and working practices Assume responsibility for key areas of processes Provide advice to customers and stakeholders Effectively police project control environment Input and approve journal vouchers Coaching non-finance employees on related matters Your skills and experiences: Project Accounting experience fully qualified Knowledge of MoD Accounting/Contracting requirements Detailed knowledge of Project Lifecycle Management (LCM) Process Business Systems experience (SAP/Budget, Planning & Consolidation) Finance governance requirements including financial control framework Benefits: Youll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.
