Job DescriptionJob Title:Security Agent Reporting To:Security Supervisor Place of Work:Southampton Airport Pay Rate:£12.25 Shift work:Earlies, lates, and occasional nights Job PurposeThe purpose of this role is to ensure the safety of all passengers, staff, and their belongings for carriage onto an aircraft. Covering VIP flights, customer service skills are essential. Full training will be provided for aviation security duties. AccountabilitiesPhysical search of passengers, staff, and belongings. Perform security tasks such as body searches, baggage searches, access control, aircraft guarding, and document checking. Control of AccessCheck and validate travel documentation (boarding card, ticket). Manage passenger and staff flow through search lanes. Operate security equipment as required. Complete documentation for confiscated items, passenger screening, and other security records. Working EnvironmentShift roster includes day, night, weekend, and bank holiday shifts. Work indoors and outdoors (Aircraft Hangar) in all weather conditions. Knowledge, Experience & SkillsGood communication skills (verbal and written). Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to understand and follow instructions. Excellent customer service skills. Good time management. Complexity and CreativityEnsure high standards of customer service and security awareness. Be proactive and alert to maintain security and service quality. ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality customer service and minimize complaints. Maintain high standards of airport security. Requirements5 years UK checkable history. Right to Work in the UK. SIA license required. Security experience. DBS checks. Successful clearance of a CTC. Flexibility in working hours.
