Are you a results-driven leader with a passion for operational excellence and people development? Were looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead manufacturing and logistics functions at a high-performing site in Exeter.In this pivotal role, youll work alongside the Operations Director to shape and deliver a strategic business plan, drive continuous improvement, and ensure excellence across cost, quality, service, health and safety, compliance, and performance. You'll lead a talented site team and play a key role in engaging staff with the wider business vision.The working hours for this role are 8:30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday - however, you will need to be available to be on call as and when required.Responsibilities:Lead and execute a business plan that aligns operations, engineering, transport, sales, and finance to meet performance goalsDeliver targets for EBITDA, service levels, and operational efficiencyManage capital expenditure, maintenance, and inventory to reduce cost and stock lossesBuild strong cross-functional relationships to enhance collaboration and customer servicePromote a safety-first culture while ensuring full legal, environmental, and feed complianceInspire and develop your team with structured succession planning and training programmesLiaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and uphold the companys professional reputationRequirements:Essential:Previous experience in a senior operational or manufacturing leadership roleStrong understanding of manufacturing, transport & logistics processesCommercial acumen with proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and costsA proactive, results-driven mindset with a passion for continuous improvementStrong leadership and people development skillsExcellent communication, decision-making, and organisational abilitiesIT literacy and a strong safety and compliance mindsetDesirable:Located within 30 miles of Exeter (preferred but not essential)Benefits:Up to 60,000 salary depending on experienceCompany carPrivate healthcareEnhanced pension contributions after 12 monthsEmployee Assistance ProgrammeCareer development opportunitiesCycle to work scheme
