Are you based in or around the South West?We have a fixed term Process Engineer role available within BD's technically advanced Push Button production line. This role is ideal for someone with strong problem-solving and process improvement experience and is data-led, collaborative, and improvement-focused.Role: Process EngineerLocation: BD, South WestRate: 40,000 - 45,000Shift Patterns: Day shiftResponsibilities:Lead investigation and resolution of loss issues including breakdowns, waste, and speedImplement and improve maintenance processes on designated product linesGenerate and update 4-block plans, bottleneck actions, and focus KPI targetsProvide shift teams with data-led direction using MES, PAB, and VOA systemsDrive center-lining activities for sustained performanceImplement Poka-Yoke solutions and drive Quality Notification (QN) reductionsLead initiatives to improve safety, quality, and waste reduction metricsAttend meetings and allocate resources to address line issues effectivelyApply systematic root cause analysis for recurring lossesSupport continuous improvement (CI) projects and validation activitiesAdvise on Maintenance Standards and improvements for reliabilityProvide coaching on CI tools and methodologiesSupport in breakdown situations when requiredEssential requirements:HNC or Degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar field5+ years of technical/manufacturing experience in high-speed automated assembly and packaging environmentsStrong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skillsExperience in quality systems and safety in manufacturingData analysis proficiency and ability to interpret operational KPIsEffective team player with leadership and mentoring abilitiesStrong communication and decision-making skills under pressureDesirable requirements:Driving license and use of a carSome PLC experience preferredBenefits:Matched contribution pension scheme (up to 10% of salary)Life assurance and critical illness coverPrivate Medical InsuranceShare save scheme (matched up to 150/month)Reward & recognition schemes for Health and Safety and Continuous ImprovementEmployee Assistance Program for physical, mental, and financial wellbeingFlexible benefits including cycle to work schemeSubsidized canteen and free parking240 hours annual leave (increasing to 247.5 after 5 years of service)Advice and editing on your current CVDedicated support team throughout your assignmentPaid holidayAccess to exclusive online restaurant and retail discounts300 referral bonus opportunityOpportunity for progression into permanent rolesCompetitive rates of payDoes this role sound interesting?
