This international law firm has over 20 global offices delivering a full range of legal services, especially those of a complex, high-profile and multi-jurisdictional nature. Their core sectors are aviation, insurance and reinsurance, international tradeand energy and shipping. Their London Finance Department is looking to hire a Forensic Accountant to join our Forensic Accounting Practice. This in-house role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with lawyers and gain an understanding of their work, their objectives and theirpressures. A notably feature of our department’s work is the opportunity to experience a very wide range of matters, in terms of size, sector, jurisdiction and type of law. Responsibilities Liaising with lawyers to gather information and evidence relevant to the matter. Derive relevant financial information from letters of claim, schedules of loss, witness statements, financial statements, expert reports, and other legal and financial documents. Desktop research of businesses and individuals. Analyse and explain financial information to a non-financial audience. Critique opponent’s expert accounting reports.
