Commercial Legal Counsel & DPO (5+PQE) Mainly remote (ad-hoc in-office requirements).About the Company:Our client is a global network of higher education institutions with campuses across Europe, Asia, and North America.Key Responsibilities:- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (e.g., IP licenses, service agreements, partnership agreements) with a excellent understanding of data protection issues, and subject access requests. - Collaborate with sales, marketing, and procurement teams to ensure agreements meet commercial and legal standards. - Lead negotiations with customers, suppliers, and partners.- Manage external counsel and corporate service providers.- Handle a diverse workload, including commercial contracts, IP, litigation, and property matters.- Provide corporate and M&A support, with experience in company law (banking/capital markets experience is a bonus).Ideal Candidate:- 5+ years’ PQE from a City or nationally recognized firm.- Strong commercial experience, excellent academics, and ability to manage complex matters.- Thrives in fast-paced, client-facing environments and demonstrates entrepreneurial teamwork.- Skilled at mentoring junior team members.
