They're investing in modern platforms to support real-time trading and risk management and are looking for a Development Manager to lead their software engineering teamRole Overview The Development Manager will oversee a team of software engineers and work cross functionally with the end users, stakeholders, architect and senior leadership to deliver high-quality, scalable, and performant solutions. This role is both technical and managerial, requiring a hands-on approach to architecture, design, and mentoring in addition to team and project leadership. Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a cross-functional software development team working in a .NET environmentOwn the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for trading and risk management platformsCollaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutionsDrive architectural decisions and ensure best practices in software design, coding, testing, and deploymentManage development roadmaps, release planning, and sprint cyclesProvide coaching and technical mentorship to engineersMaintain high standards of software quality through code reviews, test automation, and CI/CD pipelinesMonitor system performance and ensure SLAs are met in a mission-critical environmentWork closely with IT Operations, QA, and Product teams to ensure seamless deliveryRequired Skills & ExperienceProven experience as a Development Manager, Engineering Manager, or similar leadership roleStrong background in .NET/C# development, including API and microservices architectureSolid understanding of ETRM platforms and their role in energy trading workflowsExperience in energy trading, commodities, or financial trading environmentsFamiliarity with front-to-back trade lifecycle and risk management conceptsKnowledge of integration patterns and middleware for ETRM systemsStrong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and DevOps practicesExcellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldPreferred QualificationsExperience with cloud technologies (Azure preferred)Exposure to containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)Background in working with FIS, Openlink, Endur, or similar ETRM productsUnderstanding of data pipelines, market data feeds, and real-time systemsIf this sounds like you, please apply wtih an up to date CV or get in touch with Tom Parker at Source Technology.
