About Servaada, a Wipro company: Servaada is Wipro's UK entity, authorised by the FCA (the UK financial services regulator) to undertake regulated activities on behalf of its clients, as an outsourced service provider.About the Role: Effective Risk Management represents a core value at the centre of the platform and is not a passively achieved goal, it takes the continuous identification and understanding of our relevant risks, assessment, and evaluation of the adequacy of the relevant controls in line with risk appetites – and where required improvements. First line risk management requires a comprehensive understanding of risk management practices which then be overlaid on top of the intricacies of the operational processes.The role holder will act as a key point between 1st line and 2nd line, helping to ensure risk events are managed effectively, and audit actions are closed in a timely manner. They will also be key in delivering both departmental and individual targets within appointed timescales and to the highest standards. Application of technical knowledge to the department’s operation and innovative, solution-based thinking will be a key aspect of the role.Key Responsibilities:Support Operations in delivering strategic goals for process improvements relating to risk management, including:Risk TrainingOperational control/regulatory adherenceBreach log maintenance1st Line Risk reportingManagement of Audit/Risk Incident ActionsEscalationSupport Operations on risk escalations and risk management queriesPreparation and delivery of Risk reports/opinions to Senior LeadershipLiaise with 2nd line risk function and the Operational teams to assist in management of their risk activities - such as recording risk incidents/breachesPerform quality checks on incidents raised, evaluate corrective and preventative actions to ensure they are fit for purposePerform trend analysis on breaches and near misses, providing guidance and suggest process improvements where appropriateWork closely with CASS function in weekly breach reviewsSupport BCP work as requiredSkills, Qualifications and Experience: Essential:Good operational knowledge, including the basics of CASS, in particular CASS 6 and 7Basic understanding of Risk Management practicesFinancial services experience, specifically a good understanding of wrap platformsGood attention to detailStrong interpersonal and communication skillsOwnership and accountabilityExcellent drive with ability to work unsupervised under own initiativeAbility to work well under pressure and to tight deadlinesA proactive and innovative approach to problem solving, including persuasion and influencing skillsPC literate, in particular MS Office ProductsApplication of Individual Conduct Rules: Standard of conduct is reasonable under all circumstances relating toMust act with integrityMust act with due skill, care and diligenceMust be open and cooperative with the FCA and other regulatorsMust pay due regard to the interests of customers and treat them fairlyMust observe proper standards of market conductEqual Opportunities:Servaada is an advocate for positive change and conscious inclusion.
