DescriptionAbout TheRoleRead on to find out what you will need to succeed in this position, including skills, qualifications, and experience.Were looking for a SeniorKitchen Manager / Head Chef to join the Butlin's Team based inBognor Regis.A Butlins resort is the home ofgetting stuck in and no trip to the seaside would be completewithout great food and we offer this to every guest, every time inour restaurants.We truly believe that varietyis the spice of life and in this role youll have the opportunityto lead and develop the skills of our team in our fantastic foodvenues of the Buffets Department.You will leada brigade of up to 30 team across one main kitchen serving up to2000 in four restaurants, then two smaller kitchens serving up to500 guests for their daily breakfast and dinner. You will ensurethe Junior Kitchen Managers are leading each shift, maintaincompliance to all food safety and Health & Safety policies,place orders for all food items with our onsite warehouse andensure compliance to all HACCP processes.Youwill communicate with the Food Development Team in respect tooperational challenges and establish and develop a highlymotivated, pro-active culinary team with the highest ethicalstandards that deliver a cost effective and quality-orientedservice product opportunities. You will enforce cost controlprocedures and monitor waste and breakage as well as have acollaborative approach with kitchen and front of house team toensure a smooth and efficientoperation.AboutYouWe are looking for individualswith previous experience in a similar level role managing a largescale volume-led kitchen operation, with experience of managingteam performance and clear track record of developing peopleeffectively in a commercial culinaryenvironment.You will need to be hard workingand determined, a reliable person who likes to get things done andwho will look for better ways for the team to consistently deliverour brand standards.We are looking forcandidates who are energetic and enthusiastic, high spirited andfun loving and who will understand their role and the value theycan add to the guest experience by unleashing the potential of theteam.You should have also passed your Level 3Food Safety qualification and be confident in leading a team tocontinually deliver high standards in a fast paced and busy kitchenenvironment.We think our chefs at Butlins aresomething special and we know our guests love to keep returning toour restaurants as part of their holiday experience so the cherryon the top for the successful candidate is for them to be fun, keento join in and work as part of a team, and is interested inensuring our guests have a great time, everytime.Typical working hours: working 40 hoursper week, five days over seven, covering 40 hours per week and arepart of a bonus scheme.
