Senior Financial Accountant – MediaHybrid – 3 days in Surrey office, 2 from home – Creative, fast-paced media business!£60,000 – £65,000 + 10% bonusAre you looking to step into a high-impact role in the Media Industry?Do you want to work in a creative, collaborative environment where finance is seen as a true business partner?We Do Group are delighted to be supporting a high-growth media business in Surrey, recruiting a Senior Financial Accountant to take ownership of key reporting processes, strengthen controls and support business-wide improvement initiatives.This is an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Accountant with strong core financial reporting skills to play a critical role in a forward-thinking finance team. You’ll work closely with the Finance Lead and outsourced finance support team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across core financial operations, while also contributing to wider transformation projects.The ideal candidate will bring a mix of technical know-how and commercial awareness, thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, and be excited to help shape the way finance supports a creative, scaling business.WISH LISTACA / ACCA / CIMA qualifiedExperience in financial reporting and controlsStrong Excel and financial systems skillsComfortable working with offshore/outsourced finance teamsMedia, creative, or fast-growth industry experience (nice to have)THE ROLE:Core Reporting & ControlsTake ownership of month-end close processes and ensure all journals, reconciliations, and reporting tasks are completed accurately and on timeLead preparation and sign-off of key Balance Sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving outstanding itemsPrepare statutory accounts and support the year-end audit, acting as the main point of contact for external auditorsMaintain a strong internal control environment, ensuring compliance with all policies and audit requirementsSupport delivery of monthly forecasts and budgets for central/indirect functionsCollaboration & Continuous ImprovementWork closely with the Finance Lead and wider team to identify process improvements and efficiency opportunitiesPartner with an outsourced finance team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and high-quality service deliverySupport delivery of finance transformation initiatives, including system rollouts and process enhancementsLine manage a Finance Analyst, providing mentorship, structure, and development opportunitiesPrepare and deliver quarterly Balance Sheet risk and opportunity reviews to senior stakeholdersYOUR PROFILE:ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualifiedStrong technical grounding in accounting and financial controlsExperience preparing statutory accounts and working with external auditorsExcellent attention to detail and ability to manage deadlinesConfident communicator who can collaborate across finance and non-finance teamsProactive, solutions-focused, and excited by changeSALARY & BENEFITS:£60,000 – £65,00010% bonusHybrid working – 3 days in Surrey office, 2 from home25 days holiday + bank holidaysPrivate healthcareMatched pension up to 7%
