An opportunity to work in an outpatient area for a caring nurse who wants to broaden experience in medicine. The hours will be 22.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The clinics are varied but mostly include nephrology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, rheumatology, and dermatology. Danetre Medical Outpatients is a very small team. The Band 5 nurse will need to manage and take responsibility for the team when the Team Leader is away. Responsibilities include: Managing the day-to-day clinics, prioritising workload, and supervising the team. Ensuring clinics run smoothly by managing the lunchtime handover. Participating in the general management of the department. Being part of the daily morning huddle when staff are allocated to clinics. Proactively dealing with problems or complaints. Maintaining morale and motivation within the team. Deputising for the Team Leader when absent. Helping to promote a learning environment. Ensuring patients have a positive experience attending outpatients, treating them with respect and care. Maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
