Job Description

Description We are looking to recruit a Paralegal / Senior Paralegal to join our specialist Volume Motor team based in the Edinburgh office.Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will have a background in Motor/RTA fee earning and will be competent in running a defendant caseload of litigated matters.Handle a caseload of approximately 70 files at any one time.Manage all procedural aspects from issue through to trial.Draft all pleadings.Value personal injury claims using JC Guidelines and case law.Assess claims for special damages.Negotiate settlement where appropriate using persuasive arguments.Demonstrate strong telephone negotiation skills.Prepare witness statements for court proceedings, via telephone or video call.Attend conferences with counsel as required.Liaise with professionals such as claimant's solicitors, counsel, courts, brokers, policyholders, and insurer clients.Maintain strong organization skills and utilize case management systems.Ensure all Management Information is completed timely and accurately.Adhere to client SLA requirements regarding reporting and updates.Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.Essential Skills & ExperiencePrevious Motor/RTA litigation experience is essential.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Professional manner with the ability to build relationships internally and externally.The Firm Clyde & Co is a leading global law firm, specialising in sectors underpinning global trade and commerce, including insurance, transport, construction, energy, trade, and commodities.
