Job Title: Mobile Chemotherapy Unit Driver We are seeking a dedicated driver to assist in delivering high-quality healthcare to cancer patients across East Kent. The role involves transporting the HGV Class C Mobile Chemotherapy unit to various community locations, supporting chemotherapy treatments closer to patients' homes.Key Responsibilities:Ensure the general maintenance of the vehicle, including daily inspections and compliance with legal requirements.Operate all aspects of the vehicle and onboard non-medical equipment (access lift, air conditioning, generators).Liaise with medical engineering regarding repairs and servicing of onboard medical equipment.Organise and coordinate cleaning of clinical areas and external body of the mobile unit.Coordinate general maintenance of the vehicle with service providers.Perform daily vehicle safety checks.Drive the vehicle to various locations across East Kent.Check that all required equipment and supplies are on board.Attend to patients upon arrival and discharge, ensuring scheduling of next treatments.Complete necessary documentation, including fuel reports and daily logs.Send servicing reports to the EKLS manager for operational licensing and inspections.Maintain up-to-date CPC training.Report any vehicle defects to the relevant manager.Work extra hours as needed to cover the service schedule.Arrange and coordinate the safe electrical connection, adhering to Trust Health and Safety policies.Maintain all relevant mandatory training.We are one of the largest hospital trusts in England, serving a population of around 800,000.
