This full-time role offers a salary of £14.50 per hour and benefits. Role Overview: As a Care Team Leader / Residential Support Worker, you will provide therapeutic support to children, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development. Responsibilities include: Leading a small care team to deliver high-quality, child-centred support. Overseeing risk assessments, behaviour plans, and individual care planning. Supporting the ongoing professional development of junior staff. Liaising with professionals from external agencies and local authorities. Maintaining accurate documentation, including budgets and petty cash. Managing incidents and supporting the home in a calm, structured manner. Facilitating regular team meetings and participating in 1:1 supervision sessions. Candidate Requirements: Previous experience in roles such as Care Coordinator, Care Team Leader, Care Supervisor, Senior Support Worker, Assistant Home Manager, Residential Support Worker, Therapeutic Practitioner, or similar. At least 3 years of experience working in residential children's homes. Experience supporting children aged 5-18 years or young adults. Level 3 diploma in residential childcare. Understanding of the developmental and emotional needs of children and young people. Knowledge of child-centred care, including trauma, attachment, routine, boundaries, and consistency.
