DescriptionOur Quality Technician is a key part of the organization, supporting teams across all business functions to ensure excellence and consistency. This role supports the development and implementation of systems, procedures, methods, and forms that reflect the organization's quality management program. They operate as an internal resource and a technical quality expert. This role assists the quality manager in ensuring overall product quality, reviews and resolves quality-related complaints and occurrences, and works closely with all business leaders to ensure that solutions are implemented and maintained. This position reports to the Quality Manager and is located at our manufacturing plant in Baldwyn, MS. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupport and contribute to the Quality Team goals, objectives, and initiatives. Support process improvement initiatives and drive quality. Monitor and measure product output for daily quality metrics. Develop systematic approaches to product quality review, complaint/quality failure review and revision, root cause analysis, and overall quality assurance. Establish and regularly review or revise quality specifications and standards. Manage vendor relationships that provide quality supplies to the business. Ensure document approval, processing, and storage in accordance with ISO 9001 standards. Support internal processes for successful certification or recertification to ISO 9001 and AIB standards. Conduct quality training for plant personnel to ensure understanding of quality objectives, programs, plans, and techniques. Audit processes to ensure compliance with quality standards set by ISO requirements. Perform quality control testing, including sampling, testing, reviewing, documenting, and communicating results. Track and monitor measuring/testing equipment. Occasional travel to other sites or customers and on-site presence during non-traditional hours. Perform other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLSHigh School diploma or GED, or 5+ years manufacturing or similar experience. Proven skills in document management, communication, and collaboration. Ability to multitask and work proactively with minimal supervision. Experience with electronic quality management systems, ability to read a tape measure, and some statistical knowledge. Strong organizational and planning skills. High accuracy and attention to detail. PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLSBachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. ISO training and/or auditor certification. Experience in the corrugated industry or similar high-volume manufacturing. Experience with ISO 9001 or 13485 manufacturing organizations. Experience managing customer interactions and technical communication. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Relationship management experience. COMPENSATION & BENEFITSThe starting pay rate is $20.97 - $26.21 per hour, with potential variations based on experience, education, and other factors.
