More detail about the role The Rheumatology service currently runs multiple outpatient clinics and provides an extensive service to Rheumatology patients in the South West. The service offers Consultant-led and Nurse-led clinics in North Devon District Hospital and secondary care settings such as South Molton & Bideford Hospitals. The successful post holder would ideally have several years of Rheumatology experience and a special interest in supporting and developing the Rheumatological Nursing service. They will be able to run patient clinics independently, providing high-quality, evidence-based care. They will be responsible for managing their own caseload within the designated clinical areas and for the assessment and treatment of patients on a day-to-day basis, without direct guidance from the line manager. You will work closely with all members of the MDT and assist the Band 7 Rheumatology Nurse in service development. We are open to considering a Band 5 nurse with a specific interest in rheumatology who is willing to learn and work towards a Band 6 role in a progression post. Academic qualifications will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, but a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience is expected. Working Pattern:Between 08:00 and 18:00 over 5 days.
