Job Description

Summary of Responsibilities:Under the leadership of the Manager, Community Animation, the incumbent will be responsible for: • Assists in the daily operations of Exchange activities including donor interaction, client food hamper prep and distribution, and food inventory management; • Conducts regular inventory & inspection of Exchange facilities and supplies; • Liaises with community partners to ensure adequate volumes of food support donations; • Schedules and coordinates food support donations including receiving and sorting of items; • Working with and assisting program volunteers; • Assist with front desk reception – greeting, guiding and supporting Exchange visitors; • Communicates with clients for appointment scheduling, program registration and volunteer scheduling; • Updates and maintains confidential client information databases; • Maintains overall facility and personal workspace / equipment cleanliness and sanitizing along with co-workers; • Other duties as assigned to assist the program. Salary Type:per hour Salary:17.20 Job Requirements:Summary of Qualifications: • Post-secondary field of study that would be an asset to this position: social services, social work, human services, community development, or related field; • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; • Proficiency with MS Office 365 (web), database skills, e-mail and internet usage; • Able to conduct some heavy lifting of boxes or irregularly shaped donations from time to time; • Police records check will be required.
