Smart Solutions is currently recruiting for a Shovel Driver / 360 Material Handler to join our successful client based in the Wallsend NE28 area. Our client boasts one of the highest recycling rates in Scotland and is pioneering new technology and recycling processes. A current valid Wheeled Loading Shovel and 360 Excavator Material Handler certificate, along with previous experience, are essential. Pay rate:£12.40 per hour, OT x1.5 over 40 hours per week, weekly pay in arrears every Friday. Shift pattern:7am-6pm, Monday - Friday, with Saturday overtime at x1.5, including a 30-minute unpaid break and a 15-minute paid break. Responsibilities & DutiesOperate Loading Shovel Truck to perform tasks including tipping and loading vehicles in all weather conditions. Transport materials within the facility and ensure health 'safety standards are met. Load outgoing vehicles and separate waste. Transport raw materials to production workstations. Support general yard operations and cooperate with site management. Be aware of environmental factors such as weather, wind, noise, dust, and litter. Inspect machinery regularly to determine repair needs and ensure safety. Person SpecificationValid Wheeled Loading Shovel and 360 Excavator licenses are essential. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Previous experience in waste & recycling industry is advantageous.
