This position suits someone with experience supporting student learning and an interest in progressing their career in education. The successful candidate will have a passion for books and work closely with the English department. The role focuses on improving students' reading through tracking and interventions. A key goal is increasing literacy levels, especially for students facing obstacles. The role involves group work, themed events, and interaction across curriculum areas. Additional duties include assisting with reading interventions and supporting the Accelerated Reader Project. Applicants should have excellent communication and IT skills, be well-organized, and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. Key responsibilities include: Organizing books and creating displays. Timetabling LRC lessons and supporting classes with reading activities. Running assessments, monitoring scores, analyzing data, and implementing interventions. Promoting reading through author visits, competitions, and events. Supporting reading interventions like 'Reading Buddies' and 'Reading Fluency'. Managing stock, returns, and orders. The role is permanent and aims to support students' success and development.
