Working at GSU means contributing to the growth of our community.ThePanther Dining Hallat Georgia State University is seeking to hire aCatering Manager .What Makes GSU a Great Place?Flexible work environment.Generous benefits, including health, dental, vision, tuition assistance, retirement, etc.A collaborative organization with diverse partners.Professional development and mentorship opportunities.A rapidly growing academic center.What Will You Do: The Catering Manager oversees all catering operations, manages food service for events, ensures quality standards, and handles administrative tasks.Duties and Responsibilities:Supervise catering operations, event booking, setup, pricing, and customer complaints.Coordinate with chefs and staff on catering plans, menus, and suppliers.Maintain brand standards and initiatives.Serve as the main contact for clients, negotiate contracts, and respond to needs.Lead and motivate the catering team.Follow payroll and personnel policies.Facilitate catering training.Manage food and labor costs.Handle catering equipment inventory.Manage catering vehicle schedules.Ensure sanitation, safety, and organization standards.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of experience, or equivalent in food service/hospitality.Preferred Requirements:Valid GA Driver's License.Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb ladders.Ability to lift 35 pounds.Ability to work in all temperature conditions.Flexible schedule including nights and weekends.#J-18808-Ljbffr
