They will be working with owners or senior level managers at both large local fleets, government accounts, and significant national accounts. The role will not be “territory based,” rather a specific account list will be assigned/approved for the Key Account Tire Salesperson by Tire Division Management based on opportunity and/or fleet size. Key Account Responsibilities: Converting customer groups that we have manufacturer-approved vendor status and continue to grow the share of account. Support government bids for municipalities and take ownership of larger bids. Responsible for building relationships with higher level managers at customer accounts to grow regional business and be the “One Face of Bergey” to these accounts. Work with Business Development Manager to support new growth to large fleets. Actively participate in Fleet Inspections as needed and provide/review necessary information with fleet managers. Participate in a Scrap Tire Analysis as necessary/required by fleet managers. Promote and engage in Retread Plant Tours with large fleet managers. Focus on new wholesale development to markets we have not been fully penetrated. Independently make physical, in person, calls on Key Accounts, Wholesale Business and Retread Development as defined by Tire Division Management. Work with key account groups/salespeople at each of our major manufacturers to obtain new business. Work with and collaborate with Key Account Managers and Business Development Managers within Bergey’s Truck, Trailer, Parts and Leasing sales teams for successful One Bergey customer visits. Attend and present at monthly sales meetings on area of responsibility, status of conquest accounts, etc. Participate in monthly store and retread plant meetings. Meet Sales and Gross Profit targets assigned by Tire Division Management. Daily Salesforce call log entries and daily uploading of customer contact information. Other tasks and requirements assigned by Tire Division Management.
