Contract: Full Time, Permanent Salary: £31,000 per annum Hours: 40 per weekA co-educational private day and boarding school for children aged 11-18, located near the village of Kingham in Oxfordshire. Catering for 450 students and teachers daily, the school offers breakfast, morning snack, lunch, and supper, with some daily hospitality. The contract is term-time plus, working 48 weeks a year. The role is primarily weekdays, but occasional weekend work may be required as the school operates 7 days a week. We are seeking a creative and effectiveSous Chefto join our team at one of our locations inChipping Norton . Key Responsibilities: Prepare all food service areas for the day's meals. Ensure timely service of all meals to company and client standards. Maintain preparation and presentation methods per company expectations. Set up, serve, clear, clean, and store food, beverages, and equipment. Follow hygiene and safety standards in food preparation and service. Restock and replenish supplies during service to ensure smooth operation. Inform front of house of any shortages to prevent delays. Perform cleaning and hygiene duties as required. Serve customers, visitors, and guests according to standards. Manage waste and recycling appropriately. Assist in ordering and stock management. Ensure kitchen compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas after shifts. Attend meetings and training as needed. Notify the head chef of stock movements for menu planning. General Responsibilities: Attend staff meetings. Adhere to policies, procedures, and legislation. Wear a neat and clean uniform. Maintain high personal presentation standards. Conduct food temperature checks. Fulfill reasonable management requests. Provide cover during staff absences when required. Report hazards and ensure health 'safety compliance. Personal Skills and Attributes: Teamwork, listening skills, initiative, personal hygiene, and presentation. Food hygiene certification preferred. Adaptability, reliability, honesty, customer service focus. Willingness to learn and take responsibility. Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy items. Good verbal and written English skills.
