Ward Clerk Administration Team Leader - Band 3 - 37.5 hoursPrevious applicants need not apply As a Ward Clerk Administration Team Leader with supervisory and administration experience, you will demonstrate strong leadership skills to a team of Ward Clerks across the Trust. You and your team will provide a comprehensive Ward Clerk service to wards across the Urgent Care, Medicine, and Surgical specialties, as well as supporting clerical teams within Same Day Emergency Care and Early Pregnancy Units. This role includes ensuring safe staffing levels, compliance with Trust key performance indicators, supporting HR processes such as return-to-work meetings and documentation, delivering supervision to staff, supporting annual appraisals, and recruitment within the team. You will be responsible for maintaining efficient, effective, and high-quality administrative functions within the service. You will support and train ward and other clerical support staff to ensure systems are efficient and data quality is maintained. A flexible approach is essential, along with your ability to contribute to the administrative team, use your initiative, and adapt to change. You will be the designated person responsible for Bed Bureau/Ward Clerk Team staff training and rota management, managing clerical support to ward staff and bed managers, and undertaking delegated duties without supervision. You will support HR processes, including return-to-work meetings, supervision, appraisals, and recruitment. The post requires familiarity with a full range of clerical tasks and the ability to handle tasks requiring strict confidentiality, including sensitive personal information.
