Snr Primary Care MH Practitioner (SPCMHP) & Brief Intervention Worker Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust We are seeking a Band 7 Community Mental Health Nurse to join our new Initiating Treatment Team, established in April 2023.This Brief Intervention Service offers short-term treatment, care, and support for individuals with mental health difficulties within the primary care sector. The role provides opportunities to network, build relationships with services and patients across the Primary Care Network.The successful candidate will collaborate closely with our Primary Care Network Mental Health Team to review patient needs and initiate mental health treatments for various conditions. Responsibilities include promoting health and wellbeing through health promotion and education, as well as providing education, monitoring, and initiating mental health medication management in primary care.This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape the delivery of Community Primary Care Mental Health Services.Main duties of the jobDemonstrate registration as a Mental Health Nurse (RMN)Hold or be willing to undertake Non-Medical Prescribing QualificationEvidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD)Experience working within a Mental Health settingAbility to work under pressure and manage stress effectivelyRobust clinical judgmentAbility to work autonomously and assume responsibility appropriatelyParticipate in patient safety investigations and relevant inquiries in line with Trust policiesMentor and supervise studentsDevelop innovative practices to meet service demands and manage clinical caseloadsHold a valid UK driving license to travel to Primary Care Network bases and Trust sitesAbout us EPUT values motivated staff who share our principles of Care, Learn, and Empower.
