Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic qualifiedPsychological Therapistto become part of the integrated mental health and justice pathway working within the 3 local prisons across Norfolk. You will be welcomed into the prison IAPT services, a small, highly experienced, and supportive team with enthusiasm to make a difference! Therapeutic modalities offered within the service include CBT, CAT, counselling, and EMDR. The post holder will have excellent therapeutic skills, cultural competency, and be able to be responsive and flexible in working within the busy prison environment. Main duties of the jobYou will be working within a unique environment providing therapeutic assessment and treatment interventions to the prison population, primarily based at HMP Wayland. The role is challenging yet rewarding. You will engage with individuals who may not have previously connected positively with mental health services. It is an opportunity to empower them with skills to establish and sustain a fulfilling life upon release into the community. You will manage your own caseload with autonomy, supported by the wider team. Partnership working is essential within the prison environment to ensure holistic care. You will liaise with prison services, drug and alcohol services, mental health teams, and medical teams to consider all aspects of our service users' health for positive outcomes.
