Ward Manager - RMN/OT/Social Worker - Lambourn HouseThis role includes an RSU allowance of £1,446 per annum on top of your salary Are you an experienced Mental Health Care Professional with HCPC / NMC / Social Work England registration looking for a new challenge? We're recruiting for aWard Managerto join our team at Lambourn House in Littlemore, Oxford. You'll be working at our pre-discharge unit (one of very few nationwide) which provides a unique mixed gender service in the forensic directorate with a total of 15 beds including 4 female patients. This role would be suited to a creative, forward thinking, enthusiastic, contemporary and compassionate leader wishing to manage a unique service within forensic mental health. The unit is currently reviewing its function to enhance therecovery orientated model of care and extensive outreach into community resources , so we're looking for you to join us as a dynamic leader who is passionate about transforming services to improve the quality of the care we provide. You'll be responsible for the effective operational management, organisation and delivery of high-quality nursing care and clinical leadership within the unit. You'll work closely withHead of Service, Service Manager, other Clinical Nurse Leads and our Modern Matron, contributing to the development of the pre-discharge provision across the Forensic Mental Health Pathway. Main duties of the jobResponsible for the effective operational management, organisation and delivery of high-quality nursing care and clinical leadership within a Pre-Discharge unit of the forensic service. In conjunction with Head of Service, Service Manager and other Clinical Nurse Leads and Modern Matron, the post holder is expected to contribute to the development of the pre-discharge provision across the Forensic Mental Health Pathway. Provide, maintain and develop nursing care to the optimum standard possible within the resources provided. Act as the clinical leader, providing role modelling, facilitation and education to the nursing team. Participate in the forensic senior on-call rota providing clinical support, advice and practical involvement as required to ensure the safe provision of the clinical services. Support the provision of 24-hour full and accountable managerial responsibility for the ward. Responsible for determining and managing the administrative needs of the ward Please note if you are based outside of the UK you will need to be fully qualified, have already passed your OSCE and have an NMC pin number or HCPC registration in order to be considered for this role.
