About this roleDayshift 8am to 8pm / Night Shift 8pm to 8am As a care assistant, you provide the highest possible standards of person-centred care and service to our residents, whether working individually or as part of a team. You will work weekly contracted hours on a rota basis, which include weekends and public holidays. You will have a professional, reliable, and flexible attitude, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential, along with a respectful, courteous, patient, and compassionate manner at all times. Ideally, you will be qualified to Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care. Your role involves checking on residents throughout the day or night, providing personal care where required, and assisting with activities they would usually perform themselves but cannot now do without help. The aim is to promote and encourage as much independence as possible while maintaining dignity and self-esteem, all under the direction of your manager and within a team setting. You will contribute to care plans alongside residents and/or their representatives and support residents in participating in wellbeing activities both inside and outside the home. Developing positive, helpful, and caring relationships with residents and their families is also part of your responsibilities.#J-18808-Ljbffr
