Job summary We are looking for skilled bank nurses to join the James Paget Hospital. To assess basic and specialist care needs of patients and implement care without direct supervision. The nurse should always act in a manner that justifies public trust and confidence to safeguard the interests of individual patients. Main duties of the jobThe post holder is responsible for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care. Ensure that agreed standards of nursing practice within the ward/department are maintained. Ensure adherence to all Trust, Divisional, and Ward/Department Health & Safety Policies. Maintain personal contact with patients, other healthcare disciplines, relatives, and visitors. Provide mentorship support to new staff and student nurses. Undertake appropriate enhanced roles after training, such as IV drug administration and ECG recording. Ensure the safe custody and administration of drugs in accordance with Trust Policy.
