Role Overview:Supporting the shop manager and your team to maximise income through people, resources, and stock. You’ll act as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK and be surrounded by people dedicated to beating cancer. Key Responsibilities: Supporting the shop manager to guide, inspire, and engage a diverse team of paid staff and volunteers. Supporting the commercial operations of the store, including display, merchandising, stock management, and maintaining shop standards. Leading by example and providing excellent customer and supporter service. Working with the shop manager to achieve targets related to donated stock, cash, gift aid, sales, and stock processing. Building relationships with the local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues. Supporting the organization and delivery of creative fundraising events to meet targets. Ensuring compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, security, and HR policies. Deputizing for the shop manager in their absence. Performing manual handling and physical activities as part of daily duties. Candidate Requirements: Knowledge of excellent customer service. Experience in lively, vibrant environments. Adaptability and ability to work independently. Commercial awareness. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Flexibility to work on a rota basis, understanding the importance of work-life balance.
